Some days you’re the pigeon and others you’re the statue. I was having a statuesque day. The final straw was when I lost my cell phone.

I searched the car, house and my purse three times. I called the restaurant where I had been. With no luck I let go and reconciled myself to getting a new phone and number. I was no longer trying to force an outcome.

The next day I was driving in my car and I looked in my blind spot. I happened to see the phone in the door pocket of the passenger side.

I was reminded of the lesson of surrendering. When we step back, let go and don’t force things, they often happen on their own, in the right time.

When we choose to operate with ease and stop forcing and resisting, we stand in a different perspective. Circumstances often manifest in a way that flows without our struggling.

Stepping back and letting go is one way to decrease stress. You can call me on it!!
