There are many traditions that we observe at this time of year. Seeing families and friends, making special recipes, sending holiday cards, baking cookies and sweets and shopping on Black Friday.

This year stores opened earlier than ever in an attempt to reach more people sooner and faster than the competition. Holiday decorations now appear before Halloween. Most things seem to be speeding up. It feels like there is more to do with less time.

That feeling is often magnified at this time of year. What if something did not get done? Or you were not the one doing it?

If less is more, what could you eliminate? Choose one thing that you will stop doing that causes stress or does not bring you joy.

In this busy season now could be the time to start some new traditions. You could start with a tradition of simplification. This will give you something else for which to be thankful.
