Having spent the weekend at Jazz Fest, I came away with two thoughts on age:

  1. It is a state of mind
  2. Being passionate about what you do keeps you young

Many of the performers were over 70, with one trumpeter leading the way at 94. These people clearly loved what they did!

From their energy to the way they sang and danced, their passion was palpable. Audience members were quick to jump to their feet and dance along. Everyone was clearly enjoying themselves. It was contagious.

People get engaged because you are. They take their cue from your energy and enthusiasm. Being passionate about what you do not only keeps you young, it inspires others. It sustains time.

On that note all ages can agree.
