My sister is selling her house. She has interviewed two realtors. Both teams are capable, knowledgeable and successful. After interviewing both, she was going to hire the one that she thought did more transactions in her neighborhood. Her head said that would be logical. However, upon meeting again with this realtor, my sister realized this would not be a good fit.

She knows her needs and what is important to her. Her gut told her that she would not be as comfortable with this choice.

Often we are in situations, especially when we are hiring, when choice is based on fit. We sometimes ignore our gut and try to rationalize our selection based on logic or the facts.

Whether you are buying a car, moving your home or office, hiring an employee or even dating, fit is the key component. You do not have to overanalyze it. If your gut is not saying yes, it is important to listen.
