Politics is prevalent, especially in this election season. We have vigorous debate about health care, immigration, The Dream Act, gun control and a host of other issues.
While it often seems as if we are not making progress, we live in a country where we are able to have debates and free expression. Everyone can express their opinion.
As we celebrate the Fourth of July, it is a good time to remember that we still live in a democracy and enjoy freedom. Whatever your views on immigration reform, we are fortunate that ours is a country that people want to enter as opposed to being a place where we prevent people from leaving.
People around the world fight for these liberties.
Yes, we do have many challenges in our country. And, we have the opportunity to discuss and work to solve them.
