Winchester Cathedral in EnglandRecently I visited Winchester Cathedral in England. I was so excited because as a child I spent many hours listening to the song Winchester Cathedral.

It was a 45 record (yes, I am dating myself) and had an aqua color inset. I played it so often that I knew the lyrics by heart. I do not know what song was on the other side.

We often only play one side of a record (our story). We can repeat the words verbatim. We sing the same song repeatedly. However, like the record, there is another side.

We often don’t know those lyrics because we do not listen or bother to tune in. Seeing things from the other side does not mean that you like what is said or the harmony played. You may not agree.

However, it can open our thinking and ability to see things differently. It can also increase our understanding and insight.

Like our own stories, my record of Winchester Cathedral was well worn. What would happen if you explored the other side?
