My cousin recently got a new golf club. She quickly became frustrated when it did not perform on the course the way that id did on the driving range. Imagine?!

She lost confidence in the club and was hesitant to use it. Doing so would add additional strokes and ruin her score.

How often do we lose confidence in ourselves or others, afraid that they will poorly impact our performance? When we have confidence in ourselves, others or even a golf club, we create a feeling of empowerment.

Our confidence level correlates with the outcome. We are certain. Trust is evident. Success is possible. We believe that the result will be positive when encouragement, a positive attitude and the needed skills are present.

Just like a good golf swing, building confidence and trust may take a little practice!
