I recently saw the movie The King’s Speech. In it, King George VI hires a speech therapist to assist him with his stammer.

On the surface this appears to be his sole goal. However, his coach really helps him find his inner and public voice, enabling him to fully step into his role.

Many of us have private doubts, fears and anxieties. Our true voice is drowned by negative, unsupportive, questioning self-talk.

Finding a safe place without judgment is critical to overcoming self-doubt and reaching our potential. By exploring our feelings we can separate and transform our inner skeptic into a believer.

We can create this space with a trusted friend, colleague, coach or group of other professionals.

I encourage you to find your own support system so you can express yourself with confidence and clarity. While you may not be speaking to a nation during war, you will find greater fulfillment.
