I have to confess- I am not a techie. I am a slow adapter to technology.

So yesterday when I finally went to the Apple store to take an introductory lesson on the Mac Pro, it was a big step.

I had been concerned about the challenges of learning a Mac and the downtime and loss of productivity I would experience.

Much to my surprise as our teacher showed us how to use the computer and walked us through step-by-step, it was not difficult. It was not as complex as I had envisioned. In fact, it has some great features that would be very helpful.

This was a great reminder that often we put aside things or procrastinate because we have preconceived thoughts about them. “It will be too hard, take too much time or not be possible,” we tell ourselves. Give yourself permission to be a beginner. Flex new muscles!

I challenge you to put your toe in the water and try something you have been putting off because of fear, doubt or difficulty. It could be a task, conversation or new learning.

It may compute easier than you think!
