When I was vacationing in Mexico, the word that kept coming to mind as I interacted with people was gracious.

Most everyone we met was genuinely gracious, hospitable, helpful and charming. The Today show aired a segment discussing what makes people charismatic or charming. The responses from interviewees gave a thorough check list.

Lighten up Be gracious Be humble Smile Make eye contact Be enthusiastic Be interested in other people.

The list seems so basic. By being positive and genuinely interested in others, we attract them. People enjoy being around those who exude energy and make them feel good.

Being charming can change your relationships with your team members, your clients and yourself. Exuding graciousness is not just good for tourism. It will do wonders for your business!
