Labor Day is a time when most of us take off from work. I, too, will be enjoying some down time on vacation in London.

The systems that I have in place and the team supporting me allow me to get away stress free. Many of us do not take vacation because we think we cannot be gone. There is too much to do. Things will fall through the cracks, work won’t be completed and we will have that many more emails to read when we return.

It is important to take time to recharge. It is not a badge of honor to go the distance without a vacation. It does not prove that you are more committed than the next person.

If you are afraid to leave or feel that you cannot, I encourage you to start looking at the automated processes that you have. Create systems to support you. Learn to delegate with confidence.

Creating a balance between work and play is essential in our fast paced environments.

  • What do you need in order to get comfortable getting away?
  • What systems or support do you need to implement?
  • What is one action you can implement?

London’s calling!
