As we celebrate President’s Day we think of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. While they were two of the greatest presidents of our land, you are the president of your land. This is your own internal mind over which you lead.

  • What is life like in your land?
  • How easy or hard is it to enter the borders of your land?
  • What is the culture and what is valued?
  • What is the energy?
  • What is the conversation?
  • How combative or supportive is it as you talk to yourself?
  • What are meetings like and what voices attend them?
  • Does one voice tend to dominate, hijack the meeting or repeat their view (guilt, not good enough)?
  • What laws and beliefs exist and what is taboo?
  • How do fun and vacations exist?

As president of your land, it is important to understand the mood of the landscape. Understanding these dynamics can support you in being an effective and fulfilled leader.
