A golf swing and a relationship have a lot in common. We approach a golf shot by addressing the ball, focusing and with every intention of hitting a beautiful shot. Obstacles sometimes arise. As we know, the ball often does not land at the intended target!

In relationships, we meet people and usually begin with the best of intentions. We do not start out hoping to derail them. Obstacles sometimes arise. As we know, the conversations often do not land as we intended!

In both golf and relationships, subtle nuances make a big difference. In golf, changing our grip, our stance or club can make an impact. In relationships, our tone of voice, body language and level of respect and trust will impact our dynamic.

By focusing, being present, making adjustments based on feedback and practicing, we can improve both our golf swings and relationships.
